What are the main differences between them, if I can ask you? Thanks.

Yes the Maol Aftershaves are alcohol-based, so you won’t be able to get them in Europe.

We used a different tobacco absolute - Maol’s is a lighter sweeter absolute, and ours is deeper and richer. We used more bergamot essential oil to sweeten things up a little bit, as soap generally mutes the top notes a little bit.

It’s the same general scent, with some subtle differences. I hope that helps!

In 1886, Atlanta Pharmacist John Pemberton, a veteran who emerged from the Civil War with a morphine addiction, created a tonic designed to help cure his ailment. He began selling it in Georgia pharmacies, and the beverage would eventually become the world's best-selling soft drink - the formula remaining a closely guarded secret for 125 years.

In 2011, producers of the radio program This American Life discovered an article on the history of the soft drink in an old copy of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Pemberton’s hometown newspaper. Published in 1979, the article received little attention at the time, but the producers noticed that the photo used to illustrate the story was a hand-written copy of the original recipe, jotted down by a close friend of Pemberton's in a leather-bound recipe book.

The photographed notebook page showed the ingredients and proportions for a secret ingredient, known as 'Merchandise 7X' - a combination of essential oils designed to give the soft drink it's unique taste.

Orange oil 20 drops
Lemon oil 30 drops
Nutmeg oil 10 drops
Coriander 5 drops
Neroli 10 drops
Cinnamon 10 drops

Whether or not Pemberton's original formula has been changed is unknown, however a 2015 study identified 58 aroma compounds in common colas, confirming compounds corresponding to cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, orange and lemon essential oils.

Blended with vanilla extract (another ingredient in the recipe), this is John Pemberton's original flavouring for the most iconic soft drink in history:

We present, 'Merchandise 7X'

Note: This product contains cinnamon bark essential oil (<1%) which has skin-sensitizing properties and may cause irritation in sensitive individuals.

Ordered! I spent a few good years working @Coca-Cola and was always wondering why nobody was making shaving products with the legendary scent of Coke. Now I am happy, or will be happy when my order arrives.

Thank you, Ryan!

Thanks Mark! I hope you enjoy it. It's a nice fall/winter scent. But from the looks of things, it will be a while before you will have the ideal weather for this one!

From the original post from Ryan, I suppose someone confused Tuesday for Wednesday. Sorry I missed out on this one.
