Second scent down, Sicily tomorrow. Top notch performance as expected, tried to drown it and I couldn’t but it was slick. I don’t know what it is in Madagascar but there is something strangely addictive in it. I’m definitely not a floral guy but I do like this one, I however can’t describe why. I think Kyoto is still first of the new scents for me, the way Kyoto brightens and pops when lathering is amazing

Strange in what way?

I am useless at describing scents so not even going there. I know what I like and what I don't, though, and these two are interesting, in a very positive way. Thank you, Ryan.
Now, to decide which to use first, tomorrow morning.

My T+S is (finally) scheduled to be delivered tomorrow, but I'm hoping it might make an early appearance today (there's no reason for another day, going by tracking).
I will be fully reviewing each one, starting Monday... Plus my older West Coast IPA again... I can hardly wait! I'm most anxious to get a hold of Kyoto.

Quick review of the scent and "new base"
The scent itself is a spicy floral, it is heavy on the Ylang Ylang but there are those green and spicy notes that follow up. The vanilla goes and mellows everything out. Very unique, not much like it, closest was Eufros Ylang Ylang which is just straight Ylang Ylang. So if you like florals but not powdery this is a good option.
The new base I do indeed don't smell the base of the soap off the puck but I was one who knew it had to be lathered to get the full scent. I have noticed that the new base is a bit softer than the last one but it could firm up in time but if it doesn't not a big deal just adjust accordingly when lathering. Still the same great performance and no idea if there was a performance upgrade in this soap base but for me still a great soap.
I got all 3 sets but won't use the other two until July cause I'm in the Lather Games on Reddit, the stars just aligned on this one.
On an eternal den clearing mission at this point.

Oh give me a break with the “(finally)” - it shipped Monday! You Americans are so spoiled with your super-fast postal system and same day Amazon delivery

Nice Matt! Thanks for sharing. You had me worried about the base smell with the, “I do indeed don’t smell”

I was always able to smell the scents on your soaps off the puck but knew they got better when lathered. It was more for others who judge everything off a dry puck.
