Two shaves into the razor with mid-plate and favorably impressed. Well crafted, nice heft and an efficient shaver.
I think it's okay with the mid plate, but it really shines when you try the aggressive plate. Used it with a Schick, and the shave was even better than the medium plate.

Patrick should consider offering it with any single baseplate of your choice when supply catches up, not just the medium standard one.

I agree. After three shaves, two with the "aggressive" plate, I've reached the same conclusion. I'd like to see them offer a 'four-dot' plate as well as extra screws and springs...

I don't even have mine yet, but I agree with both of you. If I'd had the option, I would have only ordered the aggressive plate, instead of all three. If a four-dot were offered, I would have ordered only that.

I really start to feel a bit useless here Cry

Two shaves with the Medium Plate (and the Supply Provisions Personna? blade) so far were very...bloody

I must admit, the only injector I have tried before was the M-type - but I got some of the best shaves of my life out of it. Hence my question earlier...

I have been using the medium plate and find that the SPC razor is another that likes a very shallow angle. Once dialed in, it is a mild yet efficient shaver akin the Feather ASD2 from my experience.

If you play around with the angle perhaps you'll have better luck? Please do keep us posted.

I also found that the angle is really important and a key factor in irritation. Also, it is very tempting to go over shaved areas without re-lathering, because it feels so mild, but that results in major irritation. The angle is slightly steeper than vintage injectors, and more "natural" for me. My suggestion is to use the aggressive plate (I know it sounds counterintuitive, I usually prefer a sharp blade with a mild razor), so it's less likely you'll be tempted to go several times over a region and it might also reduce the total number of passes. I also found that when I used the mild plate, I used more pressure to compensate, so keep in mind that this razor is heavier than regular injectors where you can use a little pressure without blood.

Good feedback DonnerJack and Rebus Knebus - I plan on switching over to the aggressive plate either tomorrow or this weekend to give it a go.

I have the Supply Provision injector and also the Feather AS-D2 and there is no comparison between the 2. The Feather is heads up far more efficient and shaves far closer without fooling around with 3 different plates. IMHO, of course. And, the fit and finish of the Feather razor is also much more refined. Again IMHO!

Interesting oldie as I find the medium plate on the SPC to be very mild yet efficient, similar to the ASD2 once dialed in [I also own both].

Finish on the SPC is more minimalist but high quality as well although I would agree and give the nod to the Feather on the whole but was not discussing aesthetic, rather performance.

I do like the flexibility of the custom plates personally and look forward to giving the aggressive a run this weekend but also understand that sometimes it's nice to just pick up a razor and go.

Either way, nice to have another option in the modern SE category and thanks for your thoughts.

Of all the new or soon to be released SE razors is this the only one that utilizes the injector blades?
