Agreed on all points.  BTW I can't tell if that is a real telegraph key, but my dad helped me mount one on a board, with a battery and bell, for a grade school science project.  That was over 60 years ago.

Working from home gets boring at times. I often find myself wandering out to the shop trying to make something outta nothing.... just for something to do.

The razor heads on the shelf needed a stand or holder thingy

I had this super nice strip of Koa wood that was too small to do much with, but too nice to toss out.

Some light sanding, 3 holes with the drill press, and a coat of polyurethane:

Razor: Rockwell 6S (plate 5)
Brush: I made the maple handle, knot is a 26mm Oumo
Soap: Hub City 'Friday Night Lights'
Aftershave Balm: Wholly Kaw Rebelle
Blade: Personna Med Prep

I've owned a lot of razors over the last 7 or 8 years. The Rockwell 6S (plate 5) is hands-down the best shaver I own (for me and my face). No, its not the best looking razor out there. It's sorta bulky and has a utilitarian finish. I have no idea why it works so well for me, but it just does. I get better shaves with it than my Wolfman, Timeless, and Blackbird. I don't like the stock Rockwell handle, but my old Razorock Halo (prototype?) from 2013-ish really matches up well with it.

Have a great day!

Nice, Plate 5 on my 6s is such a mindless and close/comfortable shave for me too. My go to if face is tender from testing something out etc. Wish it was sexier looking, but when it works it just works. That's the other Hub City I wanted to get when I get the Red Cabin one. I like smokey scents.

Razor: Blackland Blackbird w/ TiBam Titanium Handle
Brush: Elite 26mm
Soap: B&M O Delight
Aftershave Balm: B&M O Delight
Blade: Personna Med Prep

Not the smoothest shave in the world this morning... I should have tossed the Personna and used a new blade. 6 shaves with it was too much I guess. I love the style and quality of TiBam handles, but being so light weight with a stainless head creates a bit of a balance issue and throws my technique off a bit. The B&M set rocks. Performance is killer and so accurate to the published scent notes of Honey, Orange Flower, Apricot and Hazelnut. Post shave is also outstanding.

Stay safe out there friends...

Thanks Dave.

The Razor Handle is the TiBam "NewYork" model.

Mine was made specifically for the Blackbird razor head as it has a collar at the top that goes into the baseplate of the Blackbird.
