Razor: Blackland Dart w/ TiBam Titanium Handle
Brush: 25mm Brad Sears
Soap: Palmolive Cream w/ Menthol
Aftershave: Chatillon Lux Taum Sauk w/ Menthol
Blade: Personna Med Prep

Really interesting shave today. First, its been trying to snow this morning here in the Pacific Northwest. That doesn't happen very often. Small flakes are coming down this morning but nothing is sticking on the ground. To mark the occasion, I decided to use some menthol software (because I'm a weirdo like that).

About the time the aggressive Dart razor touched my face, my 7-year old daughter came in and wanted to have a deep conversion about religion, politics and my shaving technique. So its a bit of an understatement that I was distracted during the shave!

We chatted. I shaved. I cut the heck outta my neck under my ear. I've never cut myself there before, but then again, I've never had a conversion like this while shaving before.

All that said, I did really enjoy the shave. The Dart and Med Prep are a match made in Heaven. The little Brad Sears brush is becoming high on my favorites list. Where does he get these incredible knots!? The Palmolive cream is such a solid performer. I love the old school scent and the cool menthol blast. The Taum Sauk AS has a nice wintery tree (pine?) scent and again a big blast of menthol.

Enjoy your day folks... and your kiddos.

Nice fun read Paul, have a great day and hope the wound heals quick.

The Dart is the weirdest razor based on feedback. I have read so many comments about it being an aggressive razor that will bite you. But for me, I find it one of my safest razors. Haven’t cut myself yet, nor have I ever felt any sort of danger or risk.

Enough people have shared similar feedback that I don’t doubt their experience. Just odd since my experience is the polar opposite.

You know, I really shouldn't call it "aggressive", but it certainly has a lot of blade feel. Until yesterday, I never cut or even nicked myself with it. It was 100% my fault yesterday, not the razors.

I also have the Blackbird, and that one has a fair amount of blade feel too.

Both are great razors and among the best in my Den. I think the Dart is an incredible value at $99 new, for a made in the USA razor.

Razor: Yates H plate
Brush: Brad Sears 28mm
Soap: B&M Eigengrau
Post Shave: Thaters & Lucky Tiger
Blade: Personna Med Prep

I was on a boring Microsoft Teams meeting today for work and I thought, man I sure wish I was using some awesome shave gear right now and not dialed into this lame call. So I did what came naturally. Hung up and shaved.

This is the best brush I own. Best brush I’ve ever owned. Thank you Dave for trading me last year (or whenever it was).

Oh, tried the new Yates short handle today for the first time and loved it.

I was just looking at that pic and thinking that looks like my old Arley and scrolled back to read the description but didn't say. I forgot who I traded that too until I read further in your post. So you traded me the WW (my 1st and only) that I traded to Alan for my Polished Rockwell. I love the razor and am happy I traded it but miss the WW greatly. Glad that one is agreeable for you.  Happy2

The Wolf Whiskers was a pretty incredible brush. It was amazing how many people wanted it. I sure am glad I traded you though. That Sears brush was the gateway into my collection of his work. I thank you... my wallet and Wife do not! haha
