gwsmallwood and Dave in KY, great reviews guys! I ordered the razor with both plates and Rod was even kind enough to let me pick the serial number. Unfortunately, I left town last Wed afternoon and it arrived on Thurs. But when I got home and checked the mail yesterday, it wasn't there Sad

I know the neighbors picked up a package for my wife on Thurs and I'm hoping they picked up all the mail. I haven't seen them today but hopefully, they'll be home tomorrow with a Stirling package!

I intend to. That way those that do want them and have tried them out can request a specific serial number should they wish to do so. I don't think there will be an issue with them selling out. I hate artificial scarcity, so I foolishly had hundreds machined.

Awesome.  I've been holding back some of my shaving budget in anticipation...

I've been in that situation and I hope you get to get it soon! Rod let me pick the serial number for my HA plate and I chose to have the matching number to my ST plate which I really wasn't worried about which number until he asked me and I thought I want the matching numbers just like on a classic car you want the engine to have the matching numbers LOL

Very cool!  I had picked two numbers, my birth year and my dad's birth year, and then let Rod choose (honestly, I was just hoping one of the sets was still available).  I thought having the birth year on a razor would be cool even though it's not really a birth razor.

I didn't participate in the pass-around but followed it closely.  Seems the HA plate was compared favorably to the Muhle R41...similar aggression but smoother.  Prior to ordering, I did shave with the R41 a few times just to make sure my technique could handle the HA Smile    Looking forward to reading how your shave goes w/ the HA!

I actually thought the ST was similar to the 2013 R41. HA was a level above per my evaluation.

The neighbor finally got back home yesterday afternoon and I was able to collect our mail/packages from last week.  Unfortunately, yesterday's shave with the Weber was absolutely perfect and I didn't really need a shave today.  I did go ahead and use my 6S with plate 2 so I would have good growth for tomorrow's shave.  Can't wait to try out this beaut!  Thanks again ezlovan!

Shave #4 this morning with the HA plate still using the same Feather blade. There is no razor that I can think of that shaves closer yet is fairly smooth. I think this is a shavette disguised as a DE razor. I did get a weeper on my neck. I hit the same spot as yesterday and should have realized to be careful. I am still using the Timeless Crown Ti handle which has a wonderful grip and feel to it. Absolutely nothing wrong with the Dallas handle so either way it works.

First shave in and I'm impressed!  I ended up using the ST and had no nicks/weepers/irritation.  I did complete an ATG pass everywhere but my upper lip.  When I started on that section, I could tell there was going to be an issue so I passed on the ATG in that area.  I have to agree with gwsmallwood, it does compare favorably to the R41. But the ST did seem a bit smoother and it certainly is better looking with a great grippy handle as compared to the R41.  This isn't a daily driver for me but it's going to be fun using this one more often to learn the nuances of the razor/shave.  Next time I have 2 or 3 days growth, the HA plate will make an appearance!
