I can't wait to see it too. Abrams is a great director, and I know it has to be good because Star Trek was good and he isn't even a Trek fan, but he is a Star Wars fan.

The next two were meh and then I saw the first prequel.  It was so bad that I haven't seen a Star Wars movie since.  However, once the crowds die down, I am considering giving this one a try.  I cannot imagine that it would be as bad as that first prequel.

I know what you mean, however I think this one will be better because of special effects and Abrams. Some remakes are terrible but some are terrific.

I enjoyed the first one. The others that I have seen ranged from so-so to boring so you're not the only one. Wink

The original trilogy was great the prequels were horrid except perhaps the last one which was decent. This one was truly really, really, really, good. Isn't being a Star Wars fan or a Trekkie a prerequisite for being in IT??? Big Grin

Saw it last night and it's thoroughly excellent at all levels - lots of action and easy to follow with lots of iconic imagery!

Went to see it with my kids yesterday. I was a big fan of the originals and I loathed the prequels. I really wasn't expecting much as the bar was set pretty low in the 90's. I actually really likes this one though. They really captured the look and feel of the original trilogy and did pretty well with the story. I'm looking forward to see what they do with the next one.

I find it difficult to believe it wasn't shot in 3D. Maybe they'll rerelease it and make a billion more dollars. I'll wait for that.
