Marko, my skin is sensitive to cinnamon, and Clove, do you think the Seaforth Spice will cause me any skin irritation?. Soaps like WSP Pumpkin Spice burn me bad. I just bought the Seaforth Heather and I'm looking forward to trying it. I like Old Spice scents and Stirling Spice is one of my favorites.

Spice today.  I loved it.  Great scent, great lather and very slick and comfortable.  I'm looking forward to Carmine at Top of The Chain restocking the splash because I wasn't able to get any the first time.  Yes I think Shawn of Chatillon Lux / Maher Olfactives has done it again for me.   Happy2

Hi Clayton, I don’t find Spice to be strongly clove or cinnamon scented but I don’t know whats in it exactly. Why don’t you go to the Spearhead website and reach out to Dennis and get his thoughts on the matter?  He is very approachable. As an aside, it is a Shawn Maher-Chatillon Lux blended scent and I’ve never had a reaction to a Chatillon Lux scent.

On all these glowing recommendations, I pulled the trigger on the spice soap and splash at Topofthechain. The shipping is always quick and it arrived yesterday.

After a busy day, I ended up shaving in the evening and it was a treat! I’m really impressed by quality of both the lather and scent of this soap. It’s truly above and beyond many of the other offerings in my den.

The scent is one of those that’s blended so well that’s it’s difficult to pick out single notes, and instead you appreciate the greater combination. If I try really hard, I can convince myself that I can detect the Mandarin or Cinnamon, but only off the tub.

The scent sure lasts too, but not overpoweringly. It’s a scent I could use year round; there’s a mischievous side to it, making it something you could wear for a summer night out, but also a warm and welcoming side that gives comfort on cold winter days.

Though it’s one use, I’m really impressed. I haven’t bought many soaps this year, but this and Unum from GD are by far my favorites. Luckily I don’t have to pick between one or the other!

Just received an email that Seaforth Sea Spice Lime is dropping tomorrow...

From the email:

"Warmer weather is here and it’s the perfect time to release our reboot of Seaforth’s classic: Sea Spice Lime. On Friday, May 14 at noon (eastern) we’ll release our shaving soap, aftershave toner, and a handful of trifectas with EdT.

Sea Spice Lime was a departure from the traditional scents of the 1940s and 50s, with a lighter and cleaner approach. In the 1960s it was marketed toward a younger demographic that wanted to smell nice - but not necessarily like their fathers. Instead they were looking for something to match their carefree attitude and pursuit of good times.

Our re-imagination of Sea Spice Lime captures this feeling with refreshing lime, salty ocean water, and Caribbean spices. The scent, developed by perfumer Shawn Maher, is a bright and vibrant celebration of warm summer weather."[Image: c0d1da07ec8840ea13916294e59268b9.jpg]

I like lime, but with Old Spice Lime the lime scent wears off quickly leaving.......you guessed it.....regular Old Spice. I hate being a Beta tester.

Yes but Shawn Maher Chatillon Lux. I can’t imagine he would just replicate Old Spice with a whiff of ephemeral lime.  Who knows, I still reckon I’ll get it.

Marko is right. This isn't a dupe of Old Spice Lime nor are Spiced or Heather dupes of the old Seaforth scents. These are reimagined scents created from the ground up by a very talented perfumer. I wouldn't expect it to smell anything like Old Spice Lime.
