I believe the "splash" is a balm actually and sans alcohol.

Yes a alcohol free toner. In between I think reviews list it as milky white splash.

Thank you and you're right - I was able to go the source and it ships to Canada  Happy2

I used the Spearhead Seaforth! Heather this morning and I like it almost as much as Spice.  Its a great performing soap base and the scents are really nice to my nose - these are scents that I could use/wear every day.  They're unique but not so unique as to be weird but I've not smelled any other product like them.  I did get a bottle of PAA Diver Down which BPman  mentioned is a tribute to the original Seaforth Spice and at least to my nose, Diver Down and Spearhead Seaforth! Spice have nothing in common.

You know its funny, here I was thinking I have no need nor desire to sample new soap makers to the market because I'm pretty happy with the ones I like.  I saw the Spearhead Seaforth! on Top of The Chain for a few weeks and never bothered to even look at the description but when I read that Shawn Maher of Chatillon Lux / Maher Olfactives was involved in the making of the scent I had to try it.  I'm glad I did because I really, really like these two soaps but now I'm back where I was a while ago having to try everything that comes onto the market.  Well, maybe not everything.  Big Grin

Marko, the more I use the PAA Diver Down AS the more I like it. To be honest, I'm just about out of the vintage formula Old Spice AS and decided to try this one on a whim. I only wish it were a tad stronger. Nonetheless, it's a very interesting scent.

I have to give it a trial period.  It often takes me some time to figure out a new scent and decide whether I like it or not.  First impressions are important but by no means determinative.  Scents will evolve in my nose-brain over time. I think you also have to actually wear it and not just sniff the bottle or put some on your wrist.  It will change over time with wearing and it is after all, just a commitment of a few hours.

I went to the Spearhead Soap website and ordered the Seaforth! Spiced and Heather splashes along with a backup of the Spiced soap (yes I did). He also has a couple of other soaps there, a Lavender and Tonka and Bergamot & Sandalwood.  I ordered the Lavender and Tonka to give it a try and I used it this morning.  Its an excellent soap base and the scent is wonderful to my nose - another I could use this everyday soap.  And its $12.99!!  Confused  A bargain at twice that price.  I should have ordered the Bergamot & Sandalwood too but live and learn.  I can do that next time.

Late to the party, I ordered a set of soap and splash yesterday when Maggards had replenished stocks. Perusing DFS now, and this thread specifically, reading your post makes me very happy, as oldschool and Gillette-esque are precisely the scents in shaving software that I never tire of. Some Freudian* thing in remembering the scent from my childhood, from grandpa and dad? Or my own, first experiences with shaving, using a Sensor Excel or the one before, and a can of goo? I don't know, they're just clean and nice.

* Come to think, if truly Freudian, I suppose it should have been the scent of my grandma and mother I was seeking. Well, I'm a sucker for floral scents, too, so maybe ole Siggie was onto something  Big Grin

Received Spearhead Seaforth! Heather yesterday. Love it! The scent is very nice, I also get a gillette shave gel vibe from it scent wise. Did a test lather, and with a 10 second load had tons of super slick lather! Can't wait to get a shave in.

So I guess there is no next time for that Bergamot & Sandalwood soap.  I was at the Spearhead website and I could only see the Seaforth Spice and Heather soaps for sale.  I looked on Dennis' (the owner/artisan) blog and it turns out those other soaps were part of an experimental project.  If I'd seen that when I bought the Lavender and Tonic I'd have bought the other one too.  Limited time, special price and when they're gone....  I see good things in my crystal ball for Spearhead Shaving  Happy2
