It's officially summer so why not have a drink to cool down? As a matter of fact, why not have a Lemoncello? I wasn't fortunate enough to get one of the cocktails today but I did shave with it in soap form.

Lemoncello isn't just some straight-down-the-line common lemon scent. It's more of a smooth sweet and sour lemon blend. It's not overpowering or saturating in any way and in my opinion, is something easy for everyone to enjoy.

The soap base is great and whipped up into a full bowl of lather without having to use much soap at all. My Ever-Ready badger brush made easy work of the soap and I was ready to go in no time.

I find this soap base produces a thoroughly protective and slick lather. It has a nice feel to it while shaving as the glide is exceptional. The post shave feel is noticeable too and may make you question even needing an aftershave.

A "Fatboy" was in order for Friday so I pulled out my E2. Because the lather was so good I was able to do a three-pass shave with the razor set to nine. When all was said and done I had no irritation and earned myself a real nice bbs.

Afterward, I applied some splash aftershave and then some balm. They're both great but I was most impressed by the balm. Generally speaking, I'm a splash guy but this balm felt really good. I'm looking forward to using it more.
