Rough shave on my neck today. I don't know if the blade was a dud or if I got too sloppy after my cheek pass went very smooth and easy. Either way, this feather blade was a punisher. I probably won't shave tomorrow. I even stepped down to the R5 plate in anticipation of the extra sharpness. I used some US salve to help put out the fire.

The "yellow" Gillettes pair up so nicely with the 89 head. Comfortable, smooth, and BBS close shave after the three customary passes and a couple of touch-ups. The 1470 is back in rotation. Plan is using her a couple of shaves per week at least, and see if I can reach its full potential. So far, she's been a bit of a difficult customer, nowhere near my other boars (Omega 31052 and Semogue 1305), though today's shave was promising. Soaps's scent and performance, OTOH, is off the charts.
