Proraso White Tub today. 10 seconds to load the H et V HMW brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Gillette 7 O’Clock Blue SP in the Maggard V2 Open Comb. Excellent smooth, close shave. I finished with Fine American Blend aftershave.

I had a great 2 1/2 hour surf session followed by a great shave with MdC Agrumes.  I'm not sure this soap is for me (slightly drying to me) but it was nice and fresh.  Happy Sunday!

Yep, its definitely time to retire this brush; losing way too many hairs per shave. Unfortunately I only have one other brush so I’ll need to start looking for another. The L’OCCITANE performed well. I just wish it rinsed off cleaner. I think most folks look for a cream or soap that leaves behind some conditioning, I however, don’t. Just my preference. The EJ always seem to give a great shave but today I got a couple of weepers. I think it might have been the Persona blade; its about 8 years old. I’ll see how they perform in a Merkur or Slim. The Canoe AS was the hi-light of this mediocre shave. I didn’t even know that I had it. It was a partial bottle I had tucked away in a box of Persona blades that I had stashed in a closet in case of the shave apocalypse. It still had most of its scent. I’m hoping there is enough left for a dozen shaves or so. Anyway not the greatest shave today but still better than canned goo and a 11 blade razor.
