NEW BRUSH-NEW BLADE-NEW RAZOR (ALL WITH THE HELP OF ETHOS)
Today's shave was my first outing with my new Paradigm Diamondback Ti, the Oumo ST-1 brush and the Personna Red (Israeli).
I used the Ethos First Lather and the Ethos Tonka Bean soap and a/s.
The DB is going to take me some time to get used to. It is light and maneuverable and very efficient. I just need to learn how to properly use it. It would be unfair of me to rate this razor against some of my others as it is too early in the learning process.
The Oumo brush is excellent. It is the ST-1 knot (synthetic). It did not whip lather over the room and had good splay. It did create a bowl lather very quickly and it along side my Oumo Ex Dens ST-1 are my favorite brushes.
As for the Ethos items, what can I say, they are the best. The First Lather helped protect the face. The soap lathered up almost instantly and I used less than 1/4 tsp. It created more than enough lather for 3 passes and touchups and then a face wash after the shave.
If you haven't experienced an Ethos product, you are doing a disservice to your face.
PRE: ETHOS FIRST LATHER
BOWL: PEREIRA
SOAP: ETHOS TONKA BEAN (WHAT A WONDERFUL SCENT)
BLADE: PERSONNA PLATINUM (ISRAELI RED)
RAZOR: PARADIGM DB TI
POST: WARM/COLD RINSE, FACE WASH WITH LATHER, ALUM, WITCH HAZEL
A/S: ETHOS TONKA BEAN
SCORE: 8.5/10. DFS+
