I’ve been admiring this brush from the bleachers, it’s stunning! I think Alex has its twin. Haven’t seen anything this handsome (in Baby Blue) since Scott’s Randy Watson themed brush. The ergonomics must fit like a glove in the hand!
Thank you, but all of the thanks goes to Alex as he got the handle for me. He did all of the work and, kindly, gifted me the knot. He has this brush's smaller brother.
I would have to agree with you as it is a beautiful colour and it fits so very well in hand, and, of course, it gives me something else to photograph.
- DSCosmetic Galaxy 2B Silvertip (26mm)
- Murphy & McNeil Crann Bethadh
- RazoRock SS Lupo 95, Wizamet
- Pitralon Pure AS
- Al Haramain L'Aventure Knight EDP
I got the idea for this shave from gwsmallwood, who recently started the Tweeds of March thread. L'Aventure Knight is straight out marketed as a Green Irish Tweed clone, and Crann Bethadh is an hommage to it. I like both products very much, but I've never had the genuine article, which limits what I can say about them. On a separate note, this happened to be my maiden voyage with the Lupo 95 SS, and it was a delightfully smooth and beautiful sail. One of GlazedBoker's posts helped me to grab it, so thanks again Gus. The Lupo 95 looks to be keeper at Casa HighSpeed.

3.12.21
Warm Water
1963 I-3 Gillette Slim (Thanks Dan)
Elite Razor handle with 26mm High Mt. White Fan
Original Base (soft) Murphy & McNeil Claddagh Soap and After Shave (With menthol)
Wizamet SI (6)
Three Passes with touch ups/DFS-BBS
First go-around with a Slim. Started on 6 for passes one and two. Went down to 3 for ATG and touch ups. No nicks, one weeper. Very close shave, but it took some attention to get there. Still, an iconic razor and a blast to use. Gotta try it with a brand new blade. The Elite HMW was a good pairing, Butter soft and loves to hold a lot of lather. The M&M Claddagh soap generated a lot of slick lather from a large-almond-sized scoop. It has a nice scent; not too strong, kind of “sweet” and trending toward “perfumey” to my nose. (However, I should caution that my nose, and those portions of my noggin’ for identifying smells, are at best a fairly blunt instrument). The AS has one heck of a menthol kick! A new, different, close, and pleasant shave....
Happy Shaves!
