You had a good run with the creams! (I’ve been paying attention.) It was nice to see that; we all seem to love our soaps a lot, but it’s good to be reminded that there is that “other side” — shaving creams.

I could not find anything in my array of aftershaves that would match perfectly with Propaganda, but Cinnawood Boroka was the most close scent I could find. I'm thinking the Propaganda splash really is the ideal match to the soap. Leisureguy, in an email to me, spoke very highly of Propaganda. I definitely agree. A great scent and a great performer. Sadly, I think the Kai blade is at or near end of life. I got three teensy weensy nicks.

Nice to read about Propaganda. It’s a soap and scent that don’t get mentioned a lot. It will be interesting to see if it remains in the line-up after all the changes that are taking place at Dr. Jon’s Shaving Soap Co.

That Bald Guy with the Big Beard
Bishop, CA
Stirling Sharp Dressed Man soap
Silvertip badger in burl box elder
Crown King scuttle
Wade & Butcher Invincible 11/16 belly hollow
Stirling Sharp Dressed Man splash

This is the replacement for the cracked W&B that came in "The Box". During the "restoration" process, it very quickly became apparent that trying to remove all of the patina and veining was going to result in a complete loss of the stamped trademarks. As it is, removing just the active rust removed more of the maker's mark on the tang than I was happy with, but active rust MUST go. That stuff is dangerous to me and the blade. Luckily, the name is stamped on the blade, not etched, so I didn't have to lose it.

This razor ain't gonna win any beauty contests, but I'll tell you what...she very quickly and easily jumped to the top of the rotation. It won't replace my Allegheny Instruments wedge, but it definitely sits side-by side...

Here's a quick "before" shot that the guy I bought it from sent me before he sent the razor-

A very close comfortable 3 pass shave this evening. This brush whips up a ton of Lavender Woods in no time. Fine Platinum is an amazing aftershave that I could use everyday. I really like the scent and the fresh feel when I splash it on my face.

Certainly one of the joys of my life is a new shave soap from Route 66. First time use of a newly arrived Route 66 Lavender Woods shave soap. Deep woods Cedar, crushed Pine tips and hints of unmistakable wild English Lavender synergize to create a soothing, woodsy scent. Was I disappointed, "No", was it great, "Yes". Three passes and a touch up and I was ready to go. Okay it's after supper so I'm not going anywhere, but if I was I'd be ready. Smile A near BBS shave tonight.
The WDC-6 Brass handle brush, or as I like to call it, my Jason Bourne - MI-6 brush, would be a great weapon if someone crashed through my bathroom window while I was shaving. At 266.5 grams less knot it would be a fine weapon. It could happen.  Smile.
Have a great evening.

Bravo amigo!!!  Happy You are indeed ready. The WDC-6 would be formidable weapon in your trained hands.  I hope you had a great evening and are on your way toward an excellent weekend.  Happy2

Thank you so much for your kind words Mark. I really appreciate it coming from a professional shaving person like yourself.

Razor: Personna Injector w/ Chick blade
Lather: Barbasol Arctic Chill
Post: Barbasol Brisk and an ice cold root beer

Wonderful shave with my new Personna Injector razor. Despite being the most mold Injector razor i have used (with the exception of the Schick Adjustable at a low setting), it was very efficient. In 3 passes and not a single cleanup stroke left my face smooth. The Barbasol Arctic Chill was simple, easy, and provided great cushion and glide. I toned down the Barbasol Brisk splash with some witch hazel because it's burn is a little much for me, even with an irritation free shave. It left me cool and refreshed. Then I enjoyed a great IBC Root Beer that the wife picked up. It has been a wonderful Saturday. Enjoy your weekend and your shaves to come!
