Oh... Tō Fou! What's in a name? Well, if you haven't already put two and two together, it's a play on Ohio Tobacco Fougere. Which is fitting considering it was a release for the attendees of the 2022 Ohio Wet Shavers Meetup.

Tobacco Fougere is an interesting classification if you ask me. It piqued my interest though as I'm a fan of both tobacco fragrances and Fougere fragrances.

The first thing I noticed is the scent strength is fairly strong. I'd give it a healthy 8 or 9. The second is that it's a "green" tobacco scent.

I love the warmth and rawness that tobacco typically brings but the foundation of very traditional Fougere makes this soap's fragrance quite unique.

After doing some homework I discovered that this soap's fragrance is comprised of Shannon's Fern City Fougere serving as the foundation with the added notes of sandalwood, oakmoss, tobacco, and ambroxan.

You might think that's all there is to it, but guess again because Fern City Fougere has well over a dozen fragrance ingredients itself, being described as having "a well-rounded lavender top end that gives way to an earthy, woody base." There's a lot going on here.

Overall I keep coming back to a very "green tobacco". Personally, I like it. Actually, I like it a lot and am very thankful for the opportunity to shave with this beauty of a shaving soap.

I got a great shave from the Tech. This being the first time I've ever used a Winner blade. Which are pretty darn good if you ask me. I was definitely surprised at how well this blade worked and will totally be using them again.

The Whiskey Woods aftershave is outstanding! I cannot recommend it enough. If you don't have this one, you are missing out. It's a definite compliment-getter.

Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 1,831

1 of 2 Heads sent to me by Tommy to try. I was more into software back when Weber and ATT were making a name in the shaving world so never tried any from either company. Tommy described this as a DE89 copy. It may be a copy in style/shape of head but it's more blade feel/efficiency than any DE89 I've used. I've heard some Weber razors had a quality control issue with wavy blades but none here. Straight as an arrow. Got a nice close and comfortable shave while paying attention and was rewarded with an extremely close shave. Something tells me this is the better of the 2 heads sent to me for experomentation. I expect the S2 from ATT will be more harsh but we shall see. Fighting a Head Cold here (1st time I've been sick since Dec of 2019, go figure ) Have a great day everyone !

Dave it's bang on . Scent strength is medium off the puck and shines once lathered. I found overall performance of the soap to be better than DG Trismegistus .
