Tabacstag!
Tabac has been a classic for a long time. This shave was no exception, except that it was an exceptional shave. I can accept that some people don't like the scent, but I love it on its own, and because it reminds me of my Dad. I used a 5-5-6 progression with the Futur again, resulting in a smooth face with no drama. Tabac aftershave finished it off right. I'm also really liking Kiehl's Calendula face wash. It is expensive up front, but it only takes one pump to do the job. This bottle will last close to a year at this rate. It seems to help my rosacea and calms my skin in general.

Dmitri, I never judge a soap's lather on the first day due to breaking through the surface layer. I generally find that first use is below what follows. That said, this soap lathered well, with none of the breakdown experienced with the unspeakable rubbish that followed. I did have the opportunity, 2-3 years ago, to use one of the tallow looking veggie soaps that hit the UK market on eBay at that time. That soap, with potassium palmate as first ingredient, was well ahead of the previous sodium palmate soaps. Today's lather was even better, with plenty of protection and good glide. I expect the lather to improve, further, on next use.

Have a great day!

primotenore, you have some of the nicest looking vintage sets that I think I've seen!  I love that Red Tip set.  It looks like it came off of the shelf yesterday, not 61 years ago.  Good show! Enjoy!

Thank you Rob.
