The razor blade worked a treet ( I'll get me coat). Very smooth shave with the Rex. I did need a few extra touch-ups but with a blade this smooth you don't mind sacrificing a little sharpness.

First use of the Saponificio Bignoli cream. Scent is a pleasant lemon/citrus, subtle from the jar but opens up once lathered. Easy to lather and performance was very good. Not much post shave though. The Fine aftershave took care of tbe post shave living my skin soft and supple.

Stay cool gents.
Cheers

Excellent looking kit amigo. But, my curiosity and questions stems from the Maseto Badger that you have. I know you have and used quite a few brushes and I've been on the fence about acquiring one. I prefer larger knots and Maseto makes a 30mm. How's the performance compared to other Silvertips you've tried? Thanks brother....

Cheers Mate,
Gus

Hi Gus,
Thank you. The Maseto Silvertip is a 24mm but blooms to much larger. I did have a 30mm Silvertip but it was just too big. Maybe not an issue for yourself.

I have a Maseto 24mm extra dense Finest and it's one if my favourite brushes.

I only use the the Maseto Silvertip for creams. It lacks the backbone I prefer for soaps. I prefer two band brushes for soaps. I wouldn't class it as floppy though, far from it. It's very soft and works brilliantly.

I've own Silvertip brushes from shavemac and Thäter. I had two shavemac's and sold them both. They didn't do much for me TBH. Don't know why? I know they're highly regarded but they just weren't for me. Both new owners are very happy with them though.

I've owned 3 Thäter brushes, 2 and 3 Band variants. Excellent brushes and up there with the softest I've used. Again sold all three. Nothing wrong with them. I just prefer a bit more backbone.

If you need to know anything else just ask.

Cheers
Rob

Wholly Kaw is definitely number one on my list! Love this line of soaps. This one is probably my second time using this. I find it reminds me of changing babies lol it’s got this baby powder pleasant type scent. Lather and slickness(in my opinion) is the absolute best on the market for its price range. So far I own 3 scents; La Fougere Parfait, Padre Leone, and King of Oud. All 3 are excellent easy to like type scents. This is definitely a company no matter the scent combo you are guaranteed to enjoy your shave! Enjoy guys and happy shaves!

What would you say is your go to brush. Right now I’m using my Shavemac D01 2 band 28mm and I know what your saying when you sold them. Not sure if you used it consecutively for a month but damn does it get soft and the backbone just eases up a tad. I find it is not very dense though in terms of holding water after soaking and ringing. I’m always looking for a new expierence and wanted to try the Wiborg out... but I don’t think that is going to happen, and not a fan of the Maseto as I find it is insufficient for backbone I need much more than that. Looking for your thoughts and would love to hear what you’ve tried. I can tell you I haven’t tried Thater or Simpson yet I’ve been deterred from Simpson due to being advised that many of them are faulty and shed a lot. Only heard good things about thater though, haven’t pulled the trigger because I look for back bone and can’t get the right advice on them.
