Stubby 2 in Heritage Super Two Band
SV Dolomiti
Mach 3

How big is this brush? 24mm by 49mm loft?

BTW, what do you like about Dolomiti for in shave protection?

Yep. 24/49mm. One of the early "gel" batch Stubbies. Though I am lately more into 28mm knots these "old" Rooneys are just fantastic brushes!

I love the SV soaps (especially the beta 4.0 to 4.2 versions). Dolomiti is no difference here: slick and great after shave feel. The only SV soap that I am less enthusiastic about is Flying Mango 4.3. I decided to get a few inventories on the 4.0-4.2 before they are gone. I already missed out on another Manna di Sicilia as the 4.0 seems to be gone everywhere. I have rededicated my empty Nuavia bowls to SV. They fit perfectly.

It looked like a 2 band MF I had same style and size. It was probably my favorite gel tip style brush. Prefect knot and size. I regret giving it up really. I am like you. The newer soaps are a bit different but I have a fondness for the 4.0-4.2. I have enjoyed the new soaps but think there will be some newer soaps from SV you may enjoy for it's performance. If you are on FB, you may want to join their private group.

Besides the Rooney Stubby 2 I have an early custom Stubby 3 M&F with hair very similar ti the Rooney Stubby but a knot that is a tad more dense. This is the only 2 Band M&F I kept after owning maybe half a dozen. M&F has always been hit and miss for me regarding knots used. With one exception (BSSW Alibaba) all my M&F were directs worked with Lee.

It's good that Putin did not remember Big Grin

P.S. Seriously, a great description, a colorful impression. I do not want to try Floid anymore))
Well, I like Sherlock, as well as Dirt, Midnight Stag and Gothic Fouger from the Barrister

If you were curious about Floïd, go ahead. Every once in a while the "Floïd debate" arises in the local wet shaving forums and there are hilarious arguments of the Floïd lovers versus its haters, and I just brought a bit of that over here. It smells sweet and spicy, an old timer's barbershop scent. Smelling it from the bottle I do like it... it's after a while that I get tired of it, and the bad news is that it's not one of those splashes that you use and can't smell it right after you exit the bathroom. This one will stay with you for quite a bit of time. Seriously, try it. If you happen to like it, you'll probably love it. And if you don't, well, it's a nice bottle anyway and it's not expensive Wink .
