I got this L&L sample, along with a few others, from a forum mate over here who quite kindly offered to send them over, for free, to me. As it was the first use of this soap I slightly over hydrated the lather. It wasn't a problem since it was still perfectly usable, and the lather remaining in the brush for the subsequent passes was thicker. I really liked this scent, which is described as the scent of incense. I don't fully agree. It doesn't smell like incense to me, but rather, like a floral with an earthy touch, quite suitable for use during the fall or winter, not so much for hot weather. All in all, a soap I would buy if it wasn't already discontinued. Excellent glide and protection which made the three pass shave an easy job.

It's been raining here for 3 days and after I finished everything I had to finish I decided to relax and have a great shave. It was an excellent 3 passes with an amazing lather that I whipped up in my new The Distinctive Goat Fully Ribbed Maple Cherry wood bowl.
