July 4th
Pre: Warm water splash
Razor: Carbon Stainless CX w/original plate and Ti handle
Blade: Astra(1)
Soap: MdC Agrumes
Brush: Simpson Duke 3 Best Badger
Bowl: Captain’s Choice Ceramic
Post: Captain’s Choice Venture AS, followed by Cera Ve Daily Moisturizing Lotion
Two.Point.Five passes = DFS-BBS
A sublime shave this a.m. The CX is excellent with the Ti handle. For me, the original plate hits the sweet spot. Great light weight and balance, with just the right level of agression to turn 24 hours of stubble into into a smooth soft comfortable mug. Took my time to fully moisturize my face at the start and to get the MdC just right for each successive pass. No music or running water because I listen closely to what the razor is doing. An excellent start to this day.
Happy Fourth to All, and deep gratitude to all those who have given and sacrificed so profoundly to allow us the privilege of marking this day.
