Menthol Monday
I had a great shave through tears and a runny nose from the cold. Cryogen got this started, and the chill grew as I loaded and lathered perhaps the best vegan soap I have - Krampert's Frostbite, made by Soap Smooth. The lather was very thick and slick and I barely felt the Futur as it devastated my stubble. I finished up with B-M Reserve Cool and Krampert's Frostbite aftershave. My face is still cold thirty minutes later.

Parker Variant razor
Gillette Silver Blue blade
VDH/TGN Silver Tip franken brush
Taconic Mint&Eucalyptus SC
Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
Skin Bracer A/S w/added menthol
Set the Parker at 2.75 for the Gillette blade and it worked very well. However, I think it would be better at 3. Regardless, it was a smooth, easy, comfortable shave with great results. The Taconic SC is very nice, lathered easily with a nice cooling sensation and good cushion and glide. I like it. And this week I will be using my badger/boars brushes as they have been looking forlorn on the shelf cuz I like synthetic's better and use them a lot more. Gonna be a rainy day here but I don't care cuz I look/smell/feel great. Now go enjoy your day folks.

SOTD: 12/5/2016 - "Licked by Kittens"
Pre: Hot shower
Soap: Catie's Bubbles "Rosee du Matin"
Brush: Bob Farvour Buffalo Horn 2-band Badger
Razor: Phoenix Shaving Stainless DOC Evolution w/ Personna Lab Blue (2)
Post: Boosters "Polar Ice" aftershave
After yesterday's shave, I wasn't sure I'd need one today. I only had a few remnants of stubble this morning, but I decided to do it anyway. I was rewarded with an incredible 2-pass shave (WTG/XTG) that left me almost perfectly smooth. It felt like my beard was licked off by kittens. My daughter picked the software.
BeS mooth and shave it up, everyone!

Prep - Noxzema / Hot towel
Pre shave - Proraso
Razor – ‘The Rock’ (Rockwell 6S – #3)
Blade – Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Platinum (black)
Brush - 'The Duke' (Duke 3 Best)
Soap – Barrister & Mann – Leviathan
Post - Witch Hazel, Trevarno Revitalising Face Oil
despite the fact that Barrister & Mann soaps produce a rich, luxurious lather, I still end up with irritation around the 'trouble spots'... maybe, they simply don't agree with me..
