I saw that I had inserted the blade carelessly after my last shave with this Razor. It is easy to insert it correctly and easy to make a mess of things.
It's all my fault.  I am demanding a rerun tomorrow.  The G Bar and blade are innocent.

Tomorrow is now. 7/8/16

After checking everything very carefully I gave it another go.
Same anguish. Same results.
The blade came with the razor. It looks new and did give me 3 excellent shaves and then - nada.
There are no markings on it so I do not know what blade it is.
It no longer matters. It has been retired to the Old Blades Bank.

I have inserted a new PTFE blade. I sure hope it was the blade and not the razor.
We shall see.

Man, I'm sorry to hear that. Many blades for me are 1 and done. (I'm a head and face shaver, so that would be about 2 face shaves). I have discovered in my Damaskeene I can get 3 3-pass head & face shaves with the PTFE. Some people boast about getting 5 times that, but I suspect they tolerate more than I do. Blades are too cheap to endure sub par shaves just to get more life out of a blade.

I refuse to respond on grounds that I might incriminate myself.

Once again  a faithful old GEM comes to the rescue.

BRUSH: L & L Custom Synthetic,
SOAP: Mystic Water Soap - Lilac. Very Good.
BOWL: Yoresh Electric.
RAZOR: GEM G Bar.
BLADE: PTFE - First shave. Excellent.
PASSES: 3. No touch up needed.
SHAVE: WOW!
AFTER SHAVE: Aqua Velva Original Sport.

It wasn't the razor. It wasn't me. It was the b----- blade.

All is now well.
