Feather Fhs-10 Hi-Stainless
RazoRock BIG BRUCE Plissoft Synthetic
Fine Platinum Shave Soap
Fine Platinum Classic Aftershave
SOTN Monday, Aug. 31
My "Blue Monday" suite.
prep - shower with Caprina Fresh Goat’s Milk Original Formula bar soap (not blue)
razor - RazoRock Hawk V2 anodized in "Electric Blue"
blade - KAI Captain Titan Mild (3)
brush - APShaveCo Synbad, with "Blue Lagoon" handle
soap - my Blue Monday superlather blend of Wilkinson Sword soap and Nivea's "Protect & Care" Moisturizing Shaving Cream
post - warm water rinse, DSA “Pure & Natural” alum, cold water rinse
aftershave - Proraso Blue AS balm
music - unidentified piano + sax jazz from CHMA-FM 106.9 campus radio
I find the WS soap's scent to be too "industrial" (and that's being kind, IMO), and the Nivea cream's scent to be too bland, but together the scent is far more ... interesting. They cancel out the bad features of each other, I guess. It performs fairly well too.
Results: BBS.
Again, I remembered to apply a minimum of pressure. This razor and blade does not do well with the same pressure I use with most DE razors.
