You should try unrefined shea butter.

I know an online store where it is available, so why not. My concern is whether it would leave my skin too oily. I assume it is to be used sparingly, but some guidance wouldn't hurt...

Sorry to hear this. Sounds like rotating products helps at least somewhat. You might try the recommendation by celestino. I use a whipped variation of shea butter from time to time. Even the whipped kind is quite heavy stuff (like you might have guessed), and a little truly goes a long way.
