Go Green! Beat Bama!
I put Fireside to the test today by using a feather blade in the Futur. Usually I don't like feathers, as I can get just as close with more forgiveness from a Voskhod. Today's shave was smooth and easy with just one little weeper at the bottom of my neck. I finished with Krampert's Bay rum, my favorite of that scent family.
I also used the new stand I got for my Futur - it has a 14.9 mm opening and a wider base. I like it because it makes my counter less cluttered, since I don't use a stand with my brush.

Prep: Annie Jones PSO
Soap: B&M Fireside
Brush: Brothers Bristles Spartan Bronze
Razor: Feather (1)
AS: Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum

Shave of the Day
Upon Further Testing... (First Shave of the Year)
Prep: cold water splash, Stirling Eucalyptus soap
Razor: Gillette Red Tip
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (1)
Brush: New Forest 2204 HMW Badger
Lather: Chiseled Face Redneck
Shave: Cold water shave, face lather, 3 passes; WTG, XTG, ATG
Post: cold water splash, alum, Nivea Iced Sensitive Balm, Stetson Cooling Moisture splash
So sticking with the Red Tip, face felt good enough for a shave today, I was eager to get going. I tried the GSB tonight and had much better results than with the 7 O'Clock Platinum. Even the ATG pass didn't tug. I experimented a bit with the "slide" maneuver and got stunning results on my trouble area on my neck. I need to keep trying that, and remember which way I'm doing it, because I got tug free pain free ATG passes on my neck which is very hard to do. A little irritation again tonight, I'm not going to shave tomorrow, to give my skin a break. This razor once again, is deceptively aggressive. I love it though, it really is a great razor, I just need to tame it!
