Astonishing Generosity
I visited with Danny Schulman today and I am very glad to have a new friend. It is so rare to be able to get to known a Facebook friend in person, and I suspect it's even more rare to get along so well. I went to pick up the T.T.C Premier razor that I won in a raffle, and I went home with new knowledge of honing, this Strop Shoppe soap that I had never tried, and more. I cannot thank him enough for his kindness and generous spirit, not to mention great conversation as I observed this master at work.
My first shave with the Premier went well - I am still dialing in the angle, but my face is smooth and comfortable. The soap yields excellent lather easily and has a nice post shave feel. I topped it off with Casablanca just because I like the scent.

A great early shave today. The big boar brush whipped up the Route 66 Retro Spice into an amazing lather. The Retro Spice has top notes of orange, sage and lemon over a lightly spiced floral heart and a base of vanilla, cedarwood, frankincense, tonka and musk. Masculine, clean and refreshing. It is a handcrafted traditional shaving soap formulated for a long lasting, slick lather with a protective cushion and glide for a soothing post shave conditioning.

Today was perhaps one of the best shaves in the past few weeks. The credit goes to my new number ONE soap - Bay Rum from the  Obsessive Soap Perfectionist (OSP). One of my most aggressive razors -Mongoose B3 felt more like a Black Mamba. 3 passes, minimal touch up resulted in a perfect BBS without any noticeable irritation. Finished with a generous splash of the exceptional  Small Batch Shave Tonic.
