In honor of this final day of Single-Edge September 2022 I chose to use my vintage American Safety Razor Company razor. This was my first time using this beautiful razor so I was excited to say the least.
The razor is exceptional light and has fantastic audible feedback. I know some don't like light razors but in my opinion one of the best qualities of light razors is that they tend to have a very enjoyable audible feedback.
I did a four-pass shave, with, across x2 and against. With the Gem blade on its fifth use it cut perfectly. I did some against the grain buffing and ended up with a super smooth bbs shave.
The Sacre Bleu CK-6 soap was amazing! The performance of the CK-6 base is out of this world with slickness and cushion. The scent is a an homage to Aqua Velva and in my opinion is a 10 out of 10.
I finished the shave of with some matching Sacre Bleu aftershave and was swimming in the awesome mentholated scent. I find it highly addictive by the way.
All in all Single-Edge September was an unforgettable amazing month. I finally pulled out, cleaned and used many of my single-edge razors that I'd never used before. I've learned a lot and gained new experience that I'll never forget.
If you're not a single-edge user I highly suggest you pick one up and give it a try.
Rock on gentlemen and enjoy your shave.
Prepare for mind control!
