Musgo Real Lime Glyce Soap
Arko Regular Shave Cream
VDH Natural Boar Brush (Green)
1962 Gillette Slim Adjustable DE
Gillette 7 O’CLOCK SharpEdge (Yellow)
Lustray Coachman After Shave
Well, that was the last of the Lime Glyce. I really like it and need to look into obtaining another round. While I’m at it I’ll check out the MR soap and AS. I used it a lot many moons ago but as my supply ran out I never got more. The last time I used the soap and AS was back in April and I wasn’t too impressed with the scent. I’d had it for quite a few years so maybe it was stale. The Arko cream was nice. It’s kind of like Derby; a decent economy brand with a great scent. Once again not the performance of something from the Big Ts but it only cost $4. I love the VDH “Natural” brush and have used them for years. Never had much luck with the VDH “Deluxe” ivory colored brush. The VDH brush I used today is getting old and starting to shed hairs. Too bad, it had nice soft tips. Time to retire it to parts cleaning duty. No need to comment on the Gillette Slim. I’m sure most folk know what a quality and great performing razor it is. The yellow Gillettes seem to work well in the Slim and a few other vintage Gillettes I have so it was a smooth ride today. However as weird as it sounds they don’t seem to do well in my Edwins or Merks. In those razors they seem to pull and tug. Oh well, I’ll save them for my Gillettes. The Lustray Coachman seemed to go real well with the Arko. Today I used the last of it and may consider buying more. For me it’s a good summer alternative to Bay Rum.
