Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Great shave this morning. Returned to Martin de Candre and their excellent "Rose" shave soap. Fantastic scent and superb lather built with the Paladin "Chief" 2-band badger brush for two passes (plus touch-up) with the RazoRock Game Changer and I finished with Czech & Speake "No.88" aftershave splash & EdC.

Hope you have a great day. Smile

Went and took a look at their website (https://symmetricalpottery.com/home%2Fst...ving-bowls) and the work is beaurtiful. It says, "custom bowls" but it isn't clear to me if they do custom color combinations. It has become very important to me lately that my shoes match my hand bag.

Sharp as a Feather
Seki City, Virginia
Preshave: Hot water splash
Lather: Taylor of Old Bond Street sandalwood
Razor: RazoRock Lupo 95SS with UFO handle (first use)
Blade: Treet carbon (black beauty, first use)
Shave: With the grain, then re-lather. Across the grain, then re-lather. Against the grain. Lots of blade feel and good audio feedback. Razor has good balance and hefty weight.
Aftershave: Thayer's Cucumber, then PAA creosote.
Result: 3/10. Two nicks, need to be careful as this thing is super aggressive. No room for error. Some stubborn under-chin stubble left over. First use of this razor. I'm thinking next time it gets loaded with a much milder blade. And skipping the pre shave may have contributed to this sub-par experience. That simple rubdown with activated charcoal soap or Poraso pre shave lotion seems to be a critical step in the process. When you skip it, you notice it. But when you include it in the process, it doesn't get the credit it deserves.
