I too have tried the vintage blades and generally after 1st pass switch to something sharp The "New Gem" is one of the BEST lather catcher shaves you can get from my experience. Noticeably better than other models to me. Beautiful shave Freddie !

Thank you Dave. I am currently working on this particular blade to if I'm able to improve the edge. Still needs work unfortunately lol

A couple of hold overs from last week, the Parker and AP Shave Co brush. Both worked very well last week. I'm going to use the Parker for a couple more weeks with different blades/soaps/creams then do a review on the razor. So far, it's really good. Very smooth, comfortable and gives DFS with no nicks, no cuts, no errors so far. The Taconic Bay Rum SC is easy to lather, gives great protection and the scent is mild/mellow/enjoyable. No hint of clove either which had turned me off of a lot of bay rum products. My face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.
