It all began with a hot shower, briefly pausing the water to rub down with Dr. Teal’s Pink Himalayan Salt Scrub. Especially the facial area. Finished with a hot shower rinse.
Literally, baby smooth skin feel!
Generous application of Amlactin lotion to warm, moist skin, except the face.
While that’s being absorbed, enjoyed a pleasant hot face wash with Neutrogena face wash for men, in the “cool” version, using a soft sponge.
Hot water rinse.
Proraso white preshave (love the feel and the old-school smell of this).
While that sets to soften things up even more, got the Colonia Di Agrumi soap from Mickey Lee’s whipped up.
Cleaned and loaded my ASD2 with a new Feather blade (felt brave and more experienced since my last Feather use...).
I don’t use the ASD2 very often, so it takes a few strokes to find the higher angle most effective with this razor. Always appreciate it’s quality build and great knurling on the handle tho.
Tried something different before the third pass today. I used some Cremo Cool Blue shave cream to slicken things up to get even closer without irritating the skin. Worked out really well! May try that again.
Beware though, that Cremo is some super slick stuff. Great face feel after.
Used the usual alum bloc rub, hot and cold water rinse, and Thayer’s medicated witch hazel. Dig the peppery smell of that version.
Finished with the matching AS, and a bit of Cremo lotion.
Very pleased with the result...and no blood spilled!
Good.
