Another great multiblade shave with this Mach 3, which is as gentle as a kitten. I find it a tad less efficient than the Sensor 3, but much milder on the skin. This is helpful in order to fully recover my skin from some past excesses.
So nothing too exciting in a shave with a not so exciting razor, and a brush with almost no backbone and the softest tips I've ever tried, which whips ups a top quality lather in nanoseconds. For all those virtues I appreciate both of them and they have a place in my rotation. The Plisson is the best synthetic I have tried, period. All the others are imitators that got somehow close, but that failed in their attemp to surpass her.
Speick, in its two variants, is a splash that goes along pretty well with florals, with an outstanding performance. A drop of balm and... DFS .

Tabac~~Mühle~~Stirling~~Polsilver
In my search for the best blade/soap combination with my '11 R41 I am turning to the time-tested Tabac and a fresh Polsilver SI.
Yesterday, I was extremely disappointed with a FRESH Personna 74 Tungsten (one of the smoothest blades I know). Talk about rough!
I have a few tucks of Perma-Sharps underway, as well as a bottle of AOS Lavender Pre-shave oil. (Crazy, I had long abandoned pre-shave oils, but I had some eBay bucks to spend and scored a bottle of the original formula for $14 shipped.)
I guess it can't hurt.
Have a great day!

This might be the best summer/weather I have seen in my 22 years in Vancouver! It is just lovely, right now and we deserve it after last winter.
