Happy Independence Day shave!
* Razor: BBS-1
* Blade: Wizamet (7)
* Soap: Prototype
* Brush: Declaration B3 Nebula
* Post: Dominica Bay Rum (w/ Limes) AS, Speick Balm
Happy 4th!!! I thought I'd celebrate by using my B3 Nebula Jefferson for the first time.
First of all, the colors on this handle are insane.
I shampooed it last night, and the knot has opened up a bit. It's very well proportioned and dense! The backbone is definitely there compared to B1 and B2. Splay was great. No scritch, but plenty of scrub. The tips are not as soft as B1 or B2, but were still very good and should only soften up as the brush breaks in. Unlike B1 and B2, which needed no break in, this brush will need some time (which I'm very cool with). This will be a good compliment to my other Declarations, and will be a dedicated triple milled soap killer! LoL
I tested a soap prototype today. I'll save the majority of my feedback for the developer. The lather was thin and aerated, despite all my attempts to get a nice thick, protective lather. Slickness was good, so with a little care I had a very nice shave. The soap needs some further work, though. The scent was also very neutral - I like strong, invigorating scents so that was a minus for me. I think it's great all these new folks developing soaps. We're in the golden era of wetshaving!
Keeping the Bay Rum train going with Dominica!!

That Toro Mastif head (for such an aggressive razor) is a smooth operator. Such a great razor!

Yesterday I received a new brush from Lee. This is the densest M&F knot I've ever used. Perfect shape, proportion, symmetry, density.
OMG that brush!!
....I hate you Dmitri.

Celestino, I think we should have you do a book where you shoot various photos of different SOTD's at The Buchart Gardens in Victoria... you could totally pull it off!
