•Prep: Hot Water & Dove + Men Face and body wash scrub deep clean
•Proraso White Shaving Cream
•Maggard MR5 Handle w/ Maggard V3 Standard Head
•Big Ben Super Stainless (2)
•Razorock Tri Color Plissoft
• Warm Water then Cold Water Rinse
•Old Spice Classic Aftershave
•Nivea Men Post Shave Balm Sensitive
Very nice shave! Got one weeper on the middle of my neck. My blade seems aligned better this time. I also go some irritation on my right cheek. But these Big ben super stainless blades are much sharper to me than my astra greens. But they seemed to do pretty good. So put that blade in my 40s style Gillette super speed. I did whip up a awesome lather with proraso white and spent longer lathering it up on my face. Very cool whip like and slick. Have a good day!

Razor: Gillette Fat Boy Adjustable (G3) 1961
Blade: Personna 74 Tungsten Plus (4)
Brush: Elite Razor Tres Amigos Desert Ironwood Beehive w/Envy White
Soap: Arko
Aftershave: Old Spice Fresh Lime

This is one of my favorite Gillette razors. I had an early 3 pass shave with a good clean up. Everything worked very well. I haven't used Arko soap very much, but I was surprised how well it lathered.
Have to go to a meeting tonight that is why an earlier than usual shave.

Nicely done. Enjoy the meeting! I have a full tub of arko pressed into a stirling soap company green tub, full tub of arko in a soap commander tub (8oz) and a 16 oz tupperware container that is nearly full of arko shave stick!

The highlights of this shave: everything, really. Even if some individual components may leave something to desire (a denser brush knot, a slightly thicker razor handle), sometimes the sum of the parts just yields an exceedingly fine experience.

Good evening all! I spent today in Phoenix so my dog could receive chemo-therapy for a soft tissue carcinoma. The procedure took 4 hours so I had time to kill and drove over to the Biltmore Shopping Center to window-shop and have lunch. It turns out the mall also had Groom Room Barbershop and I stopped in to see what it was like. A fun shop to be sure with a few products and brushes for sale. The owner, Yuri, has collected shaving tools for a long time and creates display boxes for these treasures and they are scattered around the shop. He found it hard to believe I shaved with a straight until I showed him some pictures. Now I haven't had a barbers shave since 1967 and as he takes about the range of services he's shop offers; I found myself settling into the closest chair. We talked shaving and skin care while he gave me my shave for the day (Left Flagstaff for Phoenix at 6:30 unshaven!).

I got as good a shave as I can give myself and was very relaxing. Yuri has a custom made silver shavette that he used on me, it was hand made for him by a jeweler he knows. It is Yuri's design. This is it:

And this is me getting a shave; no hair cut!

The dog is doing well after his 1st of 2 chemo treatments.
