Hello Ladies and gentlemen wet shavers.
I am still hanging out here.
I have been thrown a curve by Apple. It is a long story that I won't go into.
Suffice it to say that on September 3, in the process of making two updates about which they advised me, they removed what to me is my most important programme. My Photos Programme containing 7,773 of my photographs all neatly filed in appropriate files has vanished.

After working fruitlessly with five of their "geniuses" and spending hours on my computer and cell phone following their instructions and orders, over a two week period, I still have not had my Photo Program restored.
After each Genius failed to correct the problem he/she passed me on to yet another "Genius'. The final one simply stopped corresponding with me. I see no point in continuing further to try to have Apple undo the mess they have created. They simply do not care.

I am disheartened to say the least. I am fearful of transferring any more of my pictures to my 27" Apple OS X Yosemite.

So, until I can have my very precious labour of love returned I will lay low, read and enjoy DFS, but I will not contribute as I should.

As Dinah Shore sang so beautifully: "Happy Shaves To You."

Very sorry to read about this, Mickey. Sounds frustating, to say the least! Good of you to check in. Happy shaves to you, as well, and I hope your data can be salvaged somehow.

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

Mickey, by all means, please continue to contribute when you can. DFS isn't always about photos and your comments and humo(u)r would be sorely missed if you stopped posting.

All good luck in getting your photographs back.

After showering:

Pre-shave: Shave Secret
Razor: Edwin Jagger (EJ) DE89
Blade: Big Ben (1)
Brush: RazoRock Chubby Extra Silvertip Badger Shaving Brush with Olive Wood Handle
Soap: Italian Barber’s Amici
Water: Cold
Alum Block: Yes, with virtually no sensation at all.
Post Shave: Thayer's Witch Hazel with Aloe
Aftershave Balm:  Nope
Aftershave: Italian Barber’s Amici
Result: Apparently, looking forward to retirement hobbies, Big Ben has been taking a little time away from his day job as a clock to work on his night moves, and honing his craft.  This has to be one of them most comfortable BBS shaves I have ever had.  The blade was so efficient that I could have stopped after just two passes and some cleanup, and stunningly, the alum block yielded virtually no sensation at all.  What a phenomenal shave and my face feels awesome!
