What an epic shave this was. I went Phoenix Shaving all the way, sans brush since I don't have one (yet). But seriously... Seriously! My friends, do not sleep on Oxblood! You will regret it. It is insanely good!
It's listed as having accords of fresh, spicy, aromatic floral, woody, metallic, and sweet. The actual note list is too long to list. All you need to know though is that it's absolutely magnificent! It has both barbershop and Fougere qualities and has this awesome rich, spice, metallic, floral, wood, nostalgic vibe going on. Again, do not pass this one up!
I love the shaves I get with the Ascension Select because of its twist-adjustable feature. It allows me to dial in the blade feel for each pass exactly how I like it. Needless to say with the superior slickness from the CK-6 soap base and the precision quality is the razor, I easily earned a bbs.
Capping this outstanding shave off I splashed on some matching Oxblood aftershave and was treated to an epically unique fragrance that's somewhat barbershop-ish, somewhat Fougere-ish, and oh-so fitting to be a Phoenix Shaving release. I'm telling you this fragrance is out-of-this-world and the post-shave feel is great!
Alright my friends, take care and enjoy your shaves.
