An exemplary set up and a great photo! I am still waiting on the same soap to arrive from the UK, and was wondering if you could share your opinion on its smell and performance.

Thank you,
Alex

Thank you very much, Alex.

You are in for a treat. This was my first experience using a Yardley soap. I have recently received a sealed wooden bowl of Lavender but am refraining from use as I have another(unsealed) on the way. The scent of the Black Label is still strong. It's a complex scent and I am useless at describing scents as such. Performance is unbelievably good. Very easy lather, even on first use, creamy with good protection and glide. Post shave is superb, too. I am still surprised just how good some of these old soaps are.

Greatly appreciated, David! I just started my first container of Yardley Lavender, and even if the Black Label is only 50% as good as the Lavender, I will be exceptionally happy!
