Brush: DFS LE w/Envy White #41
Soap: Route 66 Perfect Storm
A/S: Lucky Tiger
Bowl: Pottersong K O Shave

Really treat today as I drove down to the mail box and found 2 new shave soaps from Route 66, Twisted Tweed, and Perfect Storm. Went home and labeled the side so I can see what soap I'm picking when they are stacked.
The Twisted Tweed is a twist on the classic, unforgettable Green Irish Tweed fragrance. This crisp, fresh, sporty fougere opens with green citrus, bergamot, wild lavender and lemony verbena over a rich heart of geranium, fern and violet. Anchored with spicy, wood accords of cedar, musk, amber, frankincense and Mysore sandalwood. Perfect Storm is a brisk seas, rocky bluffs, damp earth and crisp, cool air just before the rain. A windward breeze carries green notes and soft florals of lily, jasmine, rose and violet over the sand. Earthy tones of sandalwood and cumaru seed balance this rich, coastal aroma. Both soaps Both soaps are handcrafted traditional shaving soap formulated for long lasting, slick lather protective cushion and glide, soothing post shave conditioning. Well done again Route 66. Happy

So I started with Perfect Storm and was not disappointed. It worked into an easy lather quickly and added to a DFS.

Thank you so much, Matsilainen.  The recovery is going well with gradual improvement each day.  I appreciate your well wishes.

@123inna55 … I thought I'd pass this on, sorry for hijacking SOTD (again) but I think the whole community is behind you and wants to see a full recovery for you. Happy2

As Marko said, it’s good to hear that things are improving — keep up the good spirit. And happy shaves!

Oh, no. It won't happen again. I hereby solemnly swear that I won't leave my Alvarez Gómez cream aging in my cabinet this long, without using it. The fault is on the Eufros, or the Cella, or the Lea Classic, or perhaps in the assorted sample pack I got from Shavedash last month, that kept me testing things like Tabac, MWF, Edwin Jagger, Portus Calé, etc... (and I still have to try the two Martin de Candre, Classic and Fougére). This evening, both the Alvarez Gómez and the Polsilver blade took good care of my two days growth relentlessly, with beautiful care and smoothness. The Polsilvers are growing on me more and more. I'm finding them on par with the Gillette Silver Blues, and that says a lot since the SB are so far my favourite blades. Three pass shave, and the alum block just stung a bit on the lower neck area (as usual). A splash of Speick and some Bulldog balm and BBS. No weepers, no irritation, no nicks. Just simple and plain perfection.

- Edwin Jagger DEL89L
- Polsilver Super Iridium
- Plisson L'Occitane
- Barbería Alvarez Gómez, cream
- Speick, lotion
- Bulldog, after shave balm.

I appreciate the support from all of you.  I've been an RN for 25 years.  I've been friends with my surgical team for most of those years.  Add to that, I have OCD (not a joke, but a legitimate diagnosis).  You won't find me varying from my instructions.  As it is, my surgeon has said no lifting anything heavier than a coffee cup for 5 more weeks.  Then and only then am I to begin PT.  I can perform free ROM and isometrics so long as it does not induce pain.  That seems like a long time to avoid burdening the muscle, but the nature of the surgery depends on it.  The tendon and the bone have to net together on a cellular level.  Thus, healing/repair happens first.  Then, strengthening.  I am right on track.  I have about 170° extension and about 60% supination.  I see improvement in ROM daily.  However, due to the muscle rest, there is the expected atrophy.  I'll get that back in part with PT and ultimately in full with returning to my usual physical activity.  I see the surgeon daily (just a perk of the job) as we run into each other in the hall daily.

Again, I really appreciate the kind words and encouragement from each of you.  The camaraderie of this community never ceases to warm my heart.
