Belated Bowie Tribute Shave
I just had to try Phoenix & Beau Star Noir because it is based on David Bowie's favorite scent - Minotaur. I'm not great at picking out scent notes, but I certainly get jasmine and other notes. I like it. The performance was as good as most current artisan soaps, with plenty of residual slickness and a good post shave feeling. This is a keeper for me. I also tried WSP Matterhorn splash, my first splash from that artisan. It goes on easy for an alcohol base, and leaves my face feeling soft and soothed. The scent is based on Creed Silver Mountain Water. I get a fresh cologne scent with some woodsy notes. Great shave overall.
