Edwin Jagger Synthetic XL | STFv2.0
Wholly Kaw Tallow | Fougere Bouquet
My third go with TR0.95S, and I think I am getting the hang of it, no nicks or irritation and pretty much a BBS shave. Though going ATG on my neck seems a little over kill, just like with R41, but at least it is smoother than R41. Tomorrow I will try without pressure on ATG on my neck.To achieve that, I will also need a good soap as well.
Today was my first go at Wholly Kaw Tallow. Honestly, I am a sucker for good packaging and label, and that is what attracts me to Wholly Kaw. When I was purchasing Wholly Kaw, I have a bit of technical issue and Sri from
whollykaw answer immediately to my issue and the purchase was done without any any more issues. I did a palm test lather, and I am excited to shave as the results from test lather was amazing.
Wholly Kaw loads onto my EJ Synthetic XL so fast, I think it was merely around a 10 seconds load, but it feels like around 20 or 30 seconds with other soaps. This is also a very thirsty soaps, but easily to build on face to the consistency that I like, thick and sheen is what I am always looking at the first pass. The slickness and residual slickness was no issue as TR0.95S just glides through my facial hair like nothing. Lastly, the post shave, which is more than adequate I will say. Personally when comes to post shaves, my top two are Saponificio Varesino Cosmo and Mystic Water. Wholly Kaw is not at that level but good enough, since I always use post shave anyway.
Scent wise, I got Fougere Bouquet and two samples, Fern Concerto and Jamestown Gentlemen. For the first time in my life, my girlfriend actually asked me to get a soap, Fern Concerto as she love the scent. Fougere Bouquet and Jamestown Gentlemen is right up my alley as well. It won't be long till I do another purchase with Wholly Kaw.
P.S The container shown in the picture is not the original tub from Wholly Kaw. I transfer the soaps to my spare 6.0oz tub, which I generally prefer.
