Hello Rob,
Worth the wait? Yes and no. The razor is beautiful in its design. Fit and finish are impeccable. The weight and balance are perfect for me. The shave is one of the most efficient I have experienced in any DE razor. The only drawback for me in this razor is the blade feel. It's just a touch too much for me. Now, I have shaved with it only once and don't know the razor. Perhaps as I find the sweet spot in the coming shaves, that will negate the excessive blade feel. Let's wait and see what happens as I accumulate shaves.

I'm liking the $14 Maggard handle with the Sabre - easy to grip, SS, and nicely consistent with the Sabre's polished finish.
