Lately, after executing a speed shave with the Cremo Cooling, about 18-24 hours later, my face really starts to itch and become very irritated.  Today, I needed to speed shave again.  The Cremo Cooling and I gave each other a cold glare.  Then it struck me, and I remembered something I bought for my wife last Christmas.  I immediately bolted to her bathroom, rifled though her “organized” disarray of various shapes and sizes of squeeze, pump, and pour vessels, and absconded with her unscented Kiss My Face.  I was impressed with the results and if I don’t start clawing at my face by tomorrow, the Kiss My Face will take up permanent residence in my den.

I wonder what's in that Cremo that bothers you. Does the non menthol also do that?

I have no idea what is in the Cremo Cooling that is causing the itching and irritation.  I don't know if the regular Cremo does the same; I gave it away to a neighbor that wanted to try wet shaving.  He's a convert now so, I'm not going to ask for it back.   Big Grin

7 am Platinum Plus blade
Vie-Long Silver Tip brush
Taconic Mint & Eucalyptus SC
Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
M&L Florida Water cologne w/added menthol

Decided to use my Weber again, it's been awhile since I did. The 7 am blade was definetely not a good choice and that's all I'll say about that. The Taconic SC is very nice, easy to lather and that lather is great. Just don't care for the small container it comes in. So, it's an OK shave that will do for today. Now go enjoy your day folks.

A very close comfortable 3 pass shave with a cleanup. This is a new blade to me so I'll wait for a few shaves before I comment. The Classic Barbershop has a clean, masculine scent reminiscent of traditional barbershop aftershave with hints of orange peel and spices. Lathers up very well. Again I didn't find it as slick as some of the other soaps I have.
Very cold and windy day today. A severe Winter storm warning is in effect. Baden down the hatches.

Excellent setup Doug!. You're plowing through the Reef Point Soaps, an under rated soap in my opinion and I'm guilty myself as I have 4 of them and barely touch them.

Today marks the beginning of the WOTW (Week of The Wolfman). I'm going to work with this guy. I've had the Wolfman a couple months and I have to say, although it is my favorite razor that I own aesthetically, it might be one of my worst shavers. I've tried numerous blades in it before I settled on Astra but when I come back to it in the rotation, I swear it seems like the shaves are hit or miss. I'm going to work with this one until I work out the problems. The Wolfman will never touch my Timeless but it should definitely outperform my two ATT razors (S1,S2) and I just don't feel like it does.

Route 66 Sweeney Todd today. 20 seconds to load the Thater Silvertip. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Gillette 7 O’Clock Blue SP still in the Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close shave. I finished with Bvlgari Man in Black EdT.
