Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.
Great shave this morning. Returned to MacDuff's Soap Co. and their excellent "Back Country Bourbon" shave soap. Wonderful warm, woody, boozy, spicy scent with excellent lather built with the Simpson "Polo" PL 10 Best Badger brush for two passes (plus touch-up) with the '56 Gillette "Gold Tip" and I finished with a splash of Quinn's Pink Grapefruit & Orange Rind witch hazel, followed by Derby City SMall Batch Shave Tonic aftershave splash & Cremo "Spice & Black Vanilla" EdC.
Hope you have a great day.

I a not a DE guy but I gotta admit, that Aristocrat looks gorgeous. Did you have it re-plated? Also, I envy that Rubberset brush. Very gentlemanly, dare I say.....aristocratic?

The Aristocrat has not been re-plated. The original owner kept excellent conditions of his few DE's and all his straights. I agree with you regarding the Rubberset. I bought it year ago when it had a poorly made synthetic knot in it and installed the zenith boar and have to say it is an excellent knot and paired with the Rubberset, it looks pretty darn good.
