Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 1000

Shave #1000 without missing a shave. As I stated before I believe I am MUCH further than that, but this is what I could state that was documented. As a daily shaver it will go up for sure and is just a marker. Next marker would be the 3 year mark of @1095 I guess (not sure if there is a leap year involved. GREAT shave with the products and tools selected. Have a Stellar day Folks !!!

Two-plus passes; CCS-DFS

I’ve been really pretty good for a couple of months, but I just pulled the trigger on a ANOS Simpson Grey box-era CH3 Best for the princely sum of $125.  I bought it because, well, I just had to.  Nobody else had snapped it up.  Such an amazing brush needs to be used for shaving.  Actually, it’s been a while since I used a CH3.  (So many great brushes, so little time).  My memory of the CH3 was “gigantic, lather hog, plush, messy, and luxurious beyond compare.”  So, in anticipation of the “new” CH3 Best, I removed from the display cabinet one of my Simpson CH3 Supers, just to get re-acquainted. It turns out I’ve learned a few things since I last used it. First, it’s not messy at all.  I simply needed to learn how to load and use it. Now it’s easy to wield without any mess.  (The brush holds so much lather, you don’t need to load it so heavily).  Also, it’s not much of a soap hog.  The amount of soap needed (an “almond’s worth) is basically the same, it just ends up in the brush, rather than staying in the bowl.  So, bottom line, an amazing brush and something one should experience “along the way.”  I’m looking forward to the newest member of the badger pack. I suspect a Grey-era “best” will compare favorably to a later “super” knot.

Happy Shaves Gentlemen!

Cooper-Vib'Raz/BIC/MDC. The beauty of the Vib'Raz cap is that it can match with so many different plates to slightly tweak the razor geometry. The Conrad/Cooper/Barbasol NFH guard has a but more curve which increases exposure if not nearly as much as the Dart. Results rival the Gem Bullet Tip which I used for pick ups which were almost non-existent.[Image: 75bbd1678628a0a895af0d98070f1874.jpg][Image: 40b93deb0adbb16137e064ba7d060fde.jpg]
