Solid Cologne

Hey guys, who makes the longest lasting Solid Cologne? Any solid cologne users out there?

No one?

I have a tin of the Phoenix & Beau bay rum solid cologne - I haven't really tested it for lasting. I will soon and let you know.

wet shaving products also makes solid colognes. I haven't used any of it before so I can't comment on the staying power.

I've noticed that quite a few companies make it - or have made it. It's remarkably unpopular. I can't understand why, but I'm going to find out. I got this one yesterday for no other reason then the name lol... true story.




I can say that I honestly don't think I like the scent. But the scent seems to last for a while. I put it on last night after I got home form work and it seemingly lasted until I went to sleep. I have it on now - I'll update on the longevity.

The reason it's so exciting for me is that atomized cologne lasts an hour tops on me before it dissipates to nothing. At the price good colognes go for, that's a waste lol.

I tried several solid colognes, chosen from offerings on Amazon because of their relatively reasonable prices. All had excellent longevity, lasting several hours, but very little projection. My wife had to get very close to my skin to be able to smell any of them.

That's not necessarily a bad thing really. I'm ok with that.

I've tried using the P&B solid cologne a few times and its just not a format that I seem to be able to warm up to. I can see it coming in useful if you're going somewhere that you don't want to or can't bring glass bottles to and still want to have some scent around. Like camping although I tend to smell of wood smoke whenever I'm camping. I don't see the solid cologne line taking off in a big way but who knows? I've been wrong before

I'm just starting myself. It probably depends on the scent. I picked up half a dozen samples (liquid, that's the only way you can get samples) from WSP to check out the scents, & in that format at least there's a pretty huge range. Some of them seem to disappear almost immediately, but I get occasional whiffs of the Black Vetiver for most of the day. The Mahogany lasts fairly well...

I would like to try it but I don't think it would go through my atomizer.
