It's clearly used to my eye.
I can see around the sticker. I can also see that the picture linked to the Shave Nook is clearly the same brush.
I mean, why not just say it's used? Ask for what you want, but don't blow smoke about it man.
I appreciate you guys who did chime in and spoke up. I don't care about silly prices. I do care about misrepresented items.
That's not cool dude.

IMO He should not be allowed on this forum anymore and if he did actually sell the brush the buyer got ripped
BARRY--- BBS OR BUST---- Modern Razors Only
How is it that the brush linked in TSN is clearly bloomed and the one Frank pictured has no bloom whatsoever? Frank also said it smells like new badger brushes do. It sold already so the buyer can chime in. I doubt Frank would lie. If he did lie then he's pretty good at making old brushes look new again and he could make a business out of it. Just saying.
By the way, a better approach would be simply to ask him about it rather than blame right away. We could point it out and ask him to explain. Everyone jumps to conclusions so quick and the first thing they want to do is ban people. Sigh.

If you put a brush into a tube or wrap it up it will look gathered like it does when new.
The stickers don't get white crud on them until the brush has been used several times.
I highly doubt that two exceedingly rare brushes would just happen to have the same marks and smudges on the sticker too.
Put a dry brush into a tube and leave it sit for a couple of weeks. It'll look nice and tight like that.
A brush that large probably will still smell faintly of funk for many many shaves. I've had smaller brand new brushes that had noticable funk after several dozen uses.
I can't say for sure, but I have eyes and experience with brushes enough to feel confident in saying that brush looks used. Unless the guy who sold it to him lied and he never used it himself. In which case he's been lied to.
I have a hard time believing that it's never been used. There's a lot of clues. Too many to ignore. Like I said. It's a nice brush. Sell it for whatever someone is willing to pay. I don't believe it's never been wet.
As far as repercussions, that's none of my business.

the issue is between the buyer and seller. if the buyer feels like he was misled by some description that was wrong from the seller, he can take it up with him or file a claim with paypal. speaking for myself here - and I'm guessing probably the rest of the mod team - we don't have time to be bst police.
I'll amend the bst rules shortly to say that BST transactions are between the buyer & seller and that Damn Fine Shave is not responsible for any issues.
