Good luck. Looks like dfoulk even felt he could make a better soap. Not trying to disparage, but you have a world of choices. Why tolerate repeat problems?

Well and good but without the stream of steady incremental development and the flood of breakthrus sometime overwhelming the manmade levy of orthodoxy constricting thought to the river of the status quo, we would yet be plucking beard hairs using shells secure in the knowledge it adequately accomplishes the task. An ineloquent sentence that does nonetheless perfectly describe your response albeit to the level of argumentum ad absurdum

Are you equating continuing to try a particular maker that one has had issues with until there's a Eureka moment with shaving evolution/progress? Help me out.

Stating formulae are evolving, that boreal has a different (lower) level of irritation and that unscented is a potential option all combine to make further experimentation worth while, particularly when combined with a respected experts favourable opinion

Ok, that sounds more like assisting said maker with development and that's totally fine. Most regular shavers would not be willing to do that if they have to shell out their own $$$'s to do that.
