Personally, I would prefer the unobtainium soaps be included in the box. I understand it can be frustrating knowing that someone may never be able to purchase the item or will have difficulty in doing so. But, the fact of the matter is some soaps are simply difficult to obtain. IMO, I would be grateful to have a chance to smell/lather the soap at least once. Otherwise, I will never get the opportunity.

It's nice to get some new additions but you guys have no idea what I already have on hand from the other passaround.

At some point I'll have to pull everything out and stack it all on the kitchen table so that I can take some pics to share.

Yes, we really don't know. I follow the other passaround, but didn't know if this will be the same soap for soap or close.

I'm going to be using some of those soaps as well, so there will be some overlap. it's hard not to as there are only so many soap makers making the very best soaps. It's nice for the vendors this way as well because all said and done they're trying to sell soap and having their soaps being tried on more than one forum is beneficial for them.

I'll likely hand pick a nice selection of soaps to fill this box. A mixture of some soaps that I like a lot in addition to some of the harder to get soaps that people likely haven't tried. I'll try not to make it the same old thing, something that all but the most experienced users can find something new that they'd like to try.

I'm thinking of starting this out a bit smaller than the other forum passaround and being a bit more selective. With that one the fourth box is the very best as it contains some of the very best vendors with the newest formulas. I want this box to be as good as that one. I can add another box as we go depending on the response that this one gets.

I'm finding that in putting anything and everything is those boxes that some soaps aren't ever being tried, so I'll likely remove some of the oddball stray soaps that have accumulated in those boxes as well and focus on the more desirable ones.

There's also some talk of an all Grooming Dept box with just full tubs of their soap as well. I told the vendor that I'd do that for them as this is my favorite soap and it lathers better in the tub than as a sample. If we do this as a box two, then users can opt to get just box one, just box two, or both.

David, thanks for putting this together. I like the idea of fewer soaps, but more premium ones. Also, the GD box would be nice just check the scents.

I'm liking those thoughts also, guys.

Barrister & Mann is sending some Vesper's as well as a few scents in the Reserve base. I'll post pics when they arrive.

hmmmm....  Always had a soft spot for the underdog, the oddball strays, ignored, the obscure.  A box of this sounds rather interesting.  A hundred soaps no can do, half dozen up to a dozen I'd be interested if you care to send them along.

Or not.  Your call.

A quick update...

Barrister & Mann soaps arrived. Vesper's, Cool, Wave, and Lavender. I'll post some pics soon.

Ordered some more P-Touch labels and some more sample jars as I quickly realized that I don't have enough of either. Labels are in hand, still waiting on sample jars.

Spent a little time yesterday going through what soaps I have on hand and getting some ideas on what I might put in the box.

Some newer Sudsy Soapery soaps should arrive soon and I'm still reaching out to a few more vendors.

Will the thread be in Reviews or here in Soaps and Creams? Thank you.
