Do you think that the olive oil and the dimeticone could contribute to its slickness?

Yes to both, but I think it's the dimethicone more than anything simply because the residual slickness is very very high. I'm looking for a non-silicone alternative.

I recently acquired Baume.Be shaving cream last month and its one of the slickest creams i've encountered in a long time. You do need to use a little extra bu shaving with this cream is awesome. Post shave is also amazing!

To the OP:
D.R.Harris, AoS, I Coloniali Rhubarb, to name a few, imo.
Also, probably SMN V3 (I've only tried V1 and V2).

So very true indeed, mate, although I do find DRH's lather to be not only slick, but quite dense/protective.

I've always wanted to try Baum.be. Everyone speaks highly of it but I worry about the scent. How do you describe it and how do you like it?

I had a chance to smell it (but not lather it) recently. It has a fairly neutral scent, to my nose. Pretty generic, not super strong, but pleasant.

To answer your question, like Will said its not super strong. It has a floral scent with a hint of carrot since carrot oil is one of the main ingredients.

I have a good number of very slick soaps and the B&M Glissant line is my favorite. There is only one soap that I recently found to be a very strong competitor to the B&M - Pannacrema Nuavia. As of now I only used its Rossa version and I must say it is incredibly slick. However, I am lucky that I do not have to choose either or Smile

Cold River V2 is some tough competition for Glissant. I just got some and it's right there or maybe slicker.

So tell us: What are your slickest, most protective creams?

You may have given me an idea for my shave tomorrow. The Nivea Sensitive is pretty darn good!
